December 28, 2023 – Chemo delayed… Yay! or Nay!
We went in for chemo. Brandon’s Platelet count was too low to start the chemo. His potassium was also low, they gave him a bag of fluids, and two little bags of potassium all of which took a few hours. They originally told us they wanted us to come in Friday 12/29 for labs again and then on Tuesday 1/2 for chemo. Then they changed it and Brandon’s chemo will resume on Thursday 1/4. This gives him a much needed break where he isn’t sick and feels well enough to enjoy the time off, however it’s also means we are pushing the end of chemo out by another week. I think it’s mostly a good thing this time. But I’m really looking forward to the end of this part of the journey.
